Confidence high that QPR will return to the Premiership at the first opportunity

Promotion from the second tier of English football is almost as good as winning the lottery, and in addition to the financial rewards that come with being in the Premier League, the prestige and global acclaim are quite incredible.

Winning the Championship isn’t an easy feat, considering the length of the season and the fact that one competes with 23 other teams who want to be in the Premier League just as badly as you do.

Some of the early front runners are traditionally the teams that got relegated the previous year as they attempt to bounce back immediately into the big time. Amongst those teams is Queens Park Rangers, who have one of the best squads in the Championship this year, despite the exit of Chris Samba and the likely exit of Julio Cesar. Additionally, QPR also have the massive financial backing of their Chairman Tony Fernandes, giving them the ability to continue to shop around for quality players, and can offer them the opportunity to play in London, a huge advantage, especially when luring foreign talent.

The Hoops are the current favourites to win the Championship title this year, but the bookies have chosen not to go overboard in their confidence in them, offering odds of 7 from Bet365, Sky Bet among other bookmakers.
