Marko Marin is hoping to secure a permanent move to Trabzonspor, having struggled to break into Chelsea’s first-team plans in recent seasons, the Metro reports.
The 26 year-old joined the Blues back in 2012, but after an lacklustre debut campaign, found himself sent out on loan to Sevilla.
Marin has since found himself temporarily on loan with Fiorentina, Anderlecht, and now Trabzonspor, but is keen to settle himself with his current club for the foreseeable future.
The Bosnian-born midfielder was dubbed the ‘German Messi’ previously, whilst enjoying his earlier days alongside Mesut Ozil at Werder Bremen, but has failed to live up to the name since joining Chelsea.
He is looking to put an end to his Chelsea dream, by staying with his current club Trabzonspor.
‘I came here to become a champion and I want to be part of the big plans we have here.
‘We are not where we want to be in the league, but we will turn things around,’ he said.
The ‘Egyptian Messi’ Mohamed Salah also failed to live up to his name, and is also currently out on loan from Chelsea.
