Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Alex Teixeira has revealed he has offers from Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, but has a strong preference for the latter, the Metro reports.
The attacking midfielder has scored a huge 21 goals in his 14 Ukrainian Premier League matches, as well as having scored four in this season’s Champions League group stage, with two of those coming against Real Madrid in midweek.
Teixeira is claimed to have held talks over a move to Chelsea already, but his recent statement hints that his proposed move to Stamford Bridge will more than likely be delayed until the summer, with Shakhtar unwilling to sell until the end of the term.
The Brazilian dreams of playing in the English Premier League, and is keen to play under current Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
He said: ‘What I saw and what my manager said was that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made proposals.
‘I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea as they are a big club in Europe, but my manager will sort that.
‘It’s my dream, I have spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best World Championship, most competitive.
‘For January, I believe it is very difficult because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar has said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season. But I’m with a clear head.
‘I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.’
Mourinho looks to have been given more time to turn the current season around, but there is no guarantee that he will still be in his job come the end of the season, with Chelsea on course to miss out on a Champions League space.
