Leicester City have confirmed the signing of the former Swansea man Kris Scott, reports Sky Sports. The youngster arrives at the King Power Stadium with the overriding ambition of breaking into the Foxes first team, which is something he has been unable to do in South Wales.
The 19 year old has been involved with the Swans Under-21 set-up before now, but he has yet to make a breakthrough into the senior squad. He was highly-rated within the Welsh club’s academy, however, and Leicester will hope that they have landed a talented star of the future.
Having begun his football career at Stoke City before moving to Swansea, the player has also been able to make a name for himself at international level. A member of the United States’ Under-20 squad, it is hoped that the move to Leicester will help Scott develop into a contender for a role within the senior national team before long.
‘I just want to get in the first team as soon as possible,’ Scott told Sky Sports News, as he departed from the Leicester training ground having completed his move to the club. It is unlikely that the player will get his wish straight away at Leicester, but he certainly represents an exciting future prospect.
