The Metro claims that Manchester United could be set to land a £28.9 Million deal to sign Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Turkish international helped his country to qualify automatically for the Euro 2016 tournament next summer, albeit doing so as the best third placed finished.
Calhanoglu has been hitting the headlines with his club form also however, with the impressive statistic of having scored the most free kicks in a European league in the whole of last year.
Some of those strikes have become viral also, with a number of spectacularly placed set pieces doing the rounds on social media.
The 21 year-old has since been linked with a move to a bigger club, with Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United all believed to be interested.
United are now said to be able to strike a deal with an offer of £28.9 Million, despite no release clause being set out in his current contract.
