Man United looking to reignited interest in £60M strike-target

Manchester United are looking to try and sign Harry Kane from Tottenham in Janaury, the Metro claims.

The Red Devils have struggled in front of goal this season, with senior striker and captain Wayne Rooney only managing to find the net twice so far this term.

Luckily new signing Anthony Martial has hit the ground running, taking some of the pressure off of the England international, but United will need more firepower if they are to mount a serious challenge on this year’s Premier League title.

Louis Van Gaal admitted he is a big fan of Tottenham’s Harry Kane last year, when he notched a huge 31 goals in all competitions in his breakthrough season, and are believed likely to try and sign him once again this winter.

United are said to have enquired about the young forward in the summer, but were knocked back, with reports claiming £50 Million would have been needed to tempt the North-London side.

Tottenham are now claimed to want a British record fee in order to tempt them into selling, which currently stands as the £59.7 Million paid by United to bring Angel Di Maria across from Real Madrid.
