Neutral fans win as Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City all falter

Last night’s Premier League fixtures span up a few shocks, with Manchester City taking a hammering, Spurs being beaten by the Hammers, and Arsenal losing at home to Swansea City.

The Citizens travelled to Liverpool on Wednesday night to try and pour more misery on the Reds, having beaten them to the Capitol One Cup trophy on Sunday, but that plan do not come through.

Liverpool won 3-0 thanks to goals from Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and former City midfielder James Milner, closing the gap between the Anfield side and fourth place to only six points.

Tottenham also travelled (albeit only across the city) in order to succumb to defeat, with West Ham snatching a 1-0 win, although the Hammers looked comfortable winners despite the result.

Arsenal picked up the most shocking result however, hosting a Swansea City side who are threatened with relegation, and who had only picked up two points in their last four matches.

The Gunners even took the lead in the first half, only to be pegged back before the interval, before Ashley Williams sealed the win for the dominant away side in the 74th minute.

Leicester will be more than pleased to have gained a further point on all of their league challengers, but could not have been happy with their 2-2 draw with Norwich City on Tuesday either.
