Premier League preview and betting predictions

Premier League game-week 10 kicks off this Saturday, so we thought we’d take a look at the upcoming fixtures, as well as tip some winners.

Arsenal kick off the weekend when they travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland in the early televised match-up, and are worth at least a free bet from William Hill for the away win. The Gunners currently sit joint-top of the Premier League table, while the Black Cats sit rock-bottom having earned only two points during the campaign. The Gunners form looks stronger than it is however, with Middlesbrough and Swansea having tested them in recent weeks, but their opponents are so poor that a win must be a near-certainty.

Manchester United managed to end their winless run in midweek when beating neighbours City in the Capitol One Cup, but are too short to back to win at home to Burnley this weekend. The pressure is on Red Devil’s manager Jose Mourinho, but I do expect him to manage a 1-0 or 2-0 win this week.

Tottenham also play host to Leicester City this weekend, in a number of tough ties. Spurs have shown they have the game to beat the best of them by ending Manchester City’s 100% record in the league, and should be able to continue that form. A Spurs win to nil should boost the balance nicely this weekend.

The nap of the weekend has to be Watford to beat Hull City, who are in a struggle currently. The Tigers only have one point from their last seven in the league, and look set to be stung Hornets, who have scored five goals in their last two home ties, including a 3-1 win over Man United. I’m going for more than just a win here however, with a Watford -1 asian looking too good to turn down.

Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace in the late televised game, with the Merseysiders looking to extend their unbeaten run of 10 matches. As impressive as the Reds have been this term, clean sheets are rare, and a Liverpool win and both teams to score has to prove appealing.

Main picks:

Arsenal to win both halves
Spurs win to nil (NB)
Watford -1 asian handicap (NAP)
Palace win and both to score

Less favoured picks for interest:

City win and both to score
Southampton and Chelsea 1-1
West Ham win and both to score

What will you be on this weekend?
