Colombian international striker, Radamel Falcao, has barely settled in at Manchester United, but the player has still managed to drop a hint that his future could lie elsewhere, reports the Express. The forward has been in text message correspondence with Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta, and has suggested that he will play for the Turin side one day.
Juventus had been rivals of Man United’s, during the deadline day race to sign Falcao from Monaco. In the end, the attacker opted to join Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, putting pen to paper on a season-long loan deal.
However, due to the temporary nature of Falcao’s contract with the Red Devils, supporters might be a little concerned that their star man already has one eye on his future exit from the club. Falcao and his representatives drew a line under their 2014 dealings with the Italian side as the player sent the following message; ‘Thanks for everything. Would have been an honor for me to play for Juve, maybe will happen in the future.’
On the one hand a polite thank you, on the other an attempt to keep the door into the Serie A champions open. Fans will hope that Falcao’s mind is on the job at hand, at least for this season, as United look to bounce back up the Premier League. Should the Colombian score the goals required to break back into the top four, then he will be a hero. Should he appear distracted and disinterested, then pressure will mount very quickly.
