Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Alex Teixeira has revealed he has received an offer to join Chelsea, the Metro reports.
The 26 year-old is in scintillating form so far this season, scoring a huge 16 goals goals in his 11 league outings this term, three more than both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandowski have scored so far this term.
The midfielder has now revealed that he has the chance to join Premier League champions Chelsea, and is hopeful of wrapping proceedings up to arrange a move in January.
‘I have an offer,’ he told reporters in Ukraine.
‘It was a pleasure to know that Chelsea wants to sign me.
‘It would be great if the transfer already happens in January.’
Teixeira has worked with fellow Brazilian and current Chelsea winger Willian at Shakhtar previously, and could team up behind Brazilian-born Diego Costa in a deadly attacking force in the near future.
The goalscoring midfielder would likely settle in quickly in West-London, with a host of other Brazilians also on the books, including Oscar, Ramires and Kenedy in the playing squad, as well as Lucas Piazon and Wallace who are currently out on loan.
Juventus are also believed to hold an interest in the Shakhtar star.
